1) Coordinate EHS programs for all Units under Bio Ingredients Division.
2) Implementation and execution of Synthite EHS Management System across all Units.
3) Assist in planning and implementing a variety of environment/ Health and Safety programs.
4) Guide, Mentor and Manage EHS Officers across all Units.
5) Ensure 100% Compliance to Statutory Regulations.
6) Develop and Monitor EHS related performance measures.
7) Liaison with Regulatory Agencies, Interpret existing statutory regulations and Advice Company on Potential impact of regulations on Operations.
8) Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace;
9) Plan & Coordinate Corrective Actions.
10) Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment for all Activities; Assist in Developing & Implementing Risk Management Measures.
11) Assist in the developing Safe Work Procedures.; ensure Compliance to Safe Work Procedures.
12) Coordinate Periodic EHS Audits of operations and also Closure of Action Points
13) Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the risk control system and procedures and recommend opportunities for Improvement.

15) Conduct EHS training for employees and management; Assist in new employee occupational health and safety orientation.

17) Assist and participate in incident investigations and provide recommendations; Follow up on Identified Corrective actions.
18) Keeps tracks of required safety plans, audits, trainings requirements and statutory documents to ensure that plans and inspections are completed and up to date.
19) Conduct general housekeeping evaluation; Periodical inspection of tools and safety equipment.
20) Conduct and coordinate safety and health trainings, on-site inspections at Synthite Calicut, Synthite Marudur, Synthite Harihar/ Telgi and Synthite Ongole once in three months.
21) Strict control and supervision of various permit to work (Work permit) systems.
22) Responsible for emergency call and medical aid (On Call 24x7).
25) Proficient in presentation skills, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Communication skills (Training, Presentation, Reports)
26) Travel to all Units of Bio Ingredients, Synthite in South India, as per requirement.
27) Skilled in the practices, local laws and factory act within the Safety and Health Areas.
28) Sound knowledge of Emergency Response Plan preparation and review.
